Plan for Success

Every business must Plan For Success.

But planning for success can be interpreted in two different way.

And if you do not plan for success in both of these ways you will not have success.

  1. Have a plan

By having a plan I mean make sure you take time to map out what you are going to do in order to get your success you want. This means knowing where you are, where you want to go, and what success mean to you. Get clarity on your starting point, and know what success looks like so you know where you are striving to get to. Once you know these two then map out your plan for success to get there.

Build your success roadmap so you have a plan. Also, keep in mind that there may be unexpected detours along the way, changes to the plan that may have to happen. But it is much easier to address the unexpected when they occur within the framework of a very clear plan then to try to guess you way every step of the way.

2. What happens when you have success

This is the type of plan for success a lot of people do not think about. If you do get to the point of achieving your plan for success as you define it what does that mean? Are you going to sell your company, retire, expand, start something new? What often happens is people will actually achieve the success they planned for but then hit a roadblock and do not know what to do next.

This lack of a plan for success causes everything to go backwards. If you are not ready to move forward when it is time to move forward then you just end up moving backwards which means you restart and never truly achieve the plan for success.

So keep both of these styles of your plan for success in mind and watch your success become a reality and get ready to move beyond.
